Building Products, Systems, and a Life with AI

My Story

I spent over a decade in tech — started as an engineer, moved into product management, then data analytics. PM was my longest run, close to ten years.

I was good at it. But the longer I stayed, the more I felt like I was running in place. Most of my energy went into getting people to agree with me, not actually building things.

At some point I asked myself: if nothing changes in five years, what does my life look like?

The answer was too clear. And that clarity made me uncomfortable.

In 2023, I enrolled in Minerva University's master's program. I didn't want to become that five-year-later version of myself.

Even while studying, I kept thinking — can I build something on my own? The ideas were there. The experience was there — engineering, product, data. But actually shipping a complete product? Frontend, backend, database, QA, marketing. One person couldn't do all of that. It used to take a whole team.

Then AI hit a tipping point.

In May 2025, Claude Code launched and I was one of the first to use it. Once I started, I couldn't stop — someone who left engineering 14 years ago could now ship products end to end.

Four months, I built a full SaaS — AI Resume Advisor. Two weeks for the Chrome and Edge Extensions. Then three days for NeatToolkit, a free tool site — 4,000 users on day one. This personal site, two days.

All solo.

But the real change wasn't the products. It was having control over my own work and life for the first time.

I know where I'm going. I have a workflow that runs every day. AI is the lever. Direction matters more than speed. Do the simple things, repeat, and let compounding do the rest.

This site is where I document the process.

Direction over speed. Systems over goals.

Most people chase AI tools without knowing what to build. I do it the other way around — find the direction first, build a compounding workflow, and use AI as the lever. Repeat the simple things. Let time do the rest.
